'Iran, Bejeweled Land' expo underway in Belarus

'Iran, Bejeweled Land' expo is underway at the Minsk Art Gallery in Belarus on the occasion of 42nd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution victory.

On the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, a collection of Iranian artworks in the form of a cultural exhibition titled 'Iran, Bejeweled Land' has been put on display at the art gallery of the Minsk University of Culture, the capital of Belarus.    

Running until February 18 in Minsk, 'Iran, Bejeweled Land' exhibits valuable works of Iranian crafts such as vitreous enamel, Khatam, wood carving, cashmere embroidery, enameling, calligraphy and hand-woven carpet.  

The participants, mostly Belarusian art lovers, in the opening ceremony of the exhibition got acquainted with the Iranian fine arts and the rich cultural heritage of the Iranians.

Iranian citizens in Belarus, members of some embassies, and, of course, Iranian students were among the attendance of the opening of the exhibition.

At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Iranian Ambassador to Minsk (Capital of Belarus), Head of the International Affairs Committee for the Representatives, the president of the Faculty of Culture in Belarus and President of the Union of Artists in Minsk delivered speeches.

In his speech, Iran's Ambassador to Belarus Saeed Yari while referring to Iran's 7000 years of history and civilization said that we wish for peace to the entire world, including Belarus.

Referring to more than four decades of Islamic revolution in Iran, he called the Iranian nation a real winner of resistance against sanctions and resistance to foreign pressure and enemies of Iran to the unequal battle.
